A wee ode to my Scottish ancestry.
Inspired by a thistle that still has its soft brush like thistledown encased by the purple tinged calyx.
I have set 25 natural grape garnets into the sterling silver calyx. (They go all the way around.) The silk threads are tied inside.
The thistle is approximately 21mm. Including the bail it measures approximately 32mm
