Ruby peony bud pendant

Have you noticed how the big blooming peony flower comes from a tiny tightly packed round bud? It amazes me how all those lush petals could come from that little ball. I like to think of this ruby encrusted bud pendant as a symbol of all the delightful potential held inside.

I have had a mould made of a peony bud I hand carved, so this pendant is cast. I then burr out the holes for the gems and move the metal onto the rubies.

Each flower measures approximately 14mm wide and 20mm tall. The whole pendant from the top of the bail to the bottom measures 30mm.

Cast sterling silver, sterling silver chain (45cm) and components and natural rubies.
