Mountain buttercup studs

These golden sapphires are the colour of mountain buttercups soaking up and reflecting the rich buttery sunshine. These dainty drops of sunshine will add some warmth to your day. 
I have hand carved a pair of these tiny flowers and had a mould made of them. Then I have hand set the sapphire petals in a bead setting technique then engraved around each gemstone, this is hand engraved using my graver (a hand held cutting tool which uses my strength and control only, so there is no machine involved.)

I love engraving with a graver, the process, the simplicity, the skill and the result. You just can’t get that bright sparkle and hand crafted feel with laser cut or cast or roll printing techniques.

The flower measures approximately 8mm wide.
The post and butterfly are sterling silver.
