9ct gold and rhodolite garnet Lily seedpod earrings

Description

From my Seed Embracers collection, these solid 9ct yellow gold earrings are inspired by the cross section of a lily seed pod. Although photographed with a very similar seed layout; a tigridia seedpod.

All handmade by me. I started with solid 9ct yellow gold plate and drilled and burred out the holes for the pear rhodolite garnets, then pushed the gold over by hand to lock in the gems. I tidied up around the gems by hand cutting with my graver. Then to add depth and texture I filed and burred the shapes of the seedpod.

Each earring measures 15mm diameter and has a 9ct yellow gold earwire.
